The Northern Concord was founded in 1986 after the Manchester TV/TS group founded in 1975 had ceased to be in existence, so in many way sit can trace it’s roots back some 35+ years. The aims then as they are today are to be a self help and social group for cross dressers and people who consider themselves to be transgender and transsexuals.
They provide a social infrastructure in which people would be able to dress in safety and enjoy themselves
With a meeting held in Manchester every Wednesday evening of the year regularly attended by 40 to 60 members and friends you are sure to get a warm welcome. With other periodic social events and evenings organised to help benefit the members, such as make-up demonstrations, fashion nights, jewellery nights.
Wives and girlfriends were more than welcome, and indeed we have had mothers, aunts, daughters, sons and even fathers attend some of our events. To encourage wives and girlfriends to come along we made no charge for them to enter the club.
